About Consuelo

Consuelo is a multimedia artist, focused on film and digital photography , video and music.

​

Phd  in Multimedia Arts at the Carrara Academy of Art, Carrara (MS), Italy.

Currently based in London.

​

Exhibiting and performing Internationally.

​

Her work can be considered Low Brow, sinister, humoristic and feminist with a deep love for Horror with the capital H. From gore to classic Consuelo explore it on a feminine and feminist prospective which can also be found in her Death Rock band The Creeping Terrors.

​

Photography works are divided in themes touching womanhood and darkness from 'All my friends are dead' black and white film photography victorian style portraiture manually sepia toned chemically and individually framed on oval antiques dispalyed in The Crypt Gallery under the beautiful and ancient St. Pancras Church, London where the photos were hunged literally on a wall of dead bodies. The Seven Mortal Sins exhibition in Hamburg celebrating the centenary of a local Funeral Parlour, the prints in full glossy and decadend colour next to the magnificent coffin displays. The Martyrs is been an homage to the classical torture and murder biblical stories of the martyrs, depiced in painting but still considered too extreme and gore to be photographed, after all it represent, the bible  where pain is divine and become a sexual sadomasochist exstasy in the name of the Divinity.

Censored twice in London, still proudly active in a non apologetic manner.
